SCANDICCI: RECOVERY AND UPGRADING

 

In 2015 the Prada Group decided to invest in the purchase of a large industrial plant of 11,600 square meters in Scandicci, which produced Christmas decorations, to upgrade it and site our full-cycle leather goods production there. With this purchase, the Group consolidated and expanded its presence in this district, among the most important in the world in the production of high-quality leather goods.

RECOVERY OF THE HISTORICAL HERVY TANNERY AT LIMOGES (FRANCE)

 

That same year, the Prada Group purchased the Tannerie Mégisserie Hervy in France, a plant specialized in tanning since 1936, located at Isle near Limoges. Prada thus acquired the assets of the tannery (plant and machinery) and the local specialized workforce, which has been gradually reintegrated into the structure, to restore the original production capacity.

In addition to these projects, in 2015, was ended the restructuring of the Terranuova laboratories, created a mechanized facility at Levanella, and a cutting center at Valvigna, restructured a plant in Siena, and restructured a warehouse and a plant near Arezzo.
